ABOUT

A life-long artist at heart, Kelley started honing her skills in 2014, and immediatly decided it was time to start pursuing her childhood dream of making a living as an artist. There has been a LOT of learning, trial and error and at times, tail chasing, but she is loving every minute of the journey. Change can be difficult, but Evolution is Life!

Kelley started out setting up at local artisan markets and craft shows. She joined the Saint John Art Club and through it and markets, met many like-minded folks who were a wealth of information for a budding artist. Scouring social media for local events, she came across oppourtinities like Discover Saint John’s Salmon Run (a public art installation), the Canada 150 Art Aquisition Program, and ArtsLink NB’s CATAPULT, a business accelerator program designed for artists.

In addition to the oppourtunities mentioned above, some atistic highlights include group shows at Sunbury Shores in St Andrews, and an exhibition at the Grand Manan Art Gallery. She was fortunate to have been chosen to take part in Craft NB’s Beneath the Surface Residency in 2022/2023, and was honored to have been one of six artists chosen for the KIRA residency in St Andrews NB in September 2023.

” I really feel like I have only touched the tip of the iceberg in my artistic journey. Right now I am largely focused on painting, but I am drawn to so may other artistic practices; I wish I had all the time in the world to explore everything that catches my interest! ”
